Honor System
For 2 to 4 Players
CONTENTS
Gameboard, 4 Playing pieces, 45 cards, Spinner, Instruction Sheet.
OBJECT
To be the first player to raech FINISH and play an Amulet card.
BEFORE PLAY
Detach the spinner card from the platform by gently pressing along the dotted lines. Assemble the spinner as indicated in Diagram 1.
Each player selects a playing piece and places it on START. The cards are shuffled and three cards are dealt, facedown, to each player. The remaining cards are placed facedown near the gameboard forming a draw pile. As cards are played during the game, they are placed on a discard pile. Players arrange the cards in their hands. Each player spins the spinner; the player with the highest spin plays first, play will then pass to the left.
OBSTACLES
There are six obstacles on the gameboard, each designated by a red space; Mr. Ages, The Tractor, owl, Dragon the Cat, Brutus, and Jenner. A player may not pass through an obstacle on the gameboard until he has played the corresponding obstacle card. Players may choose to use an Amulet card as a free pass through any obstacle.
PLAY
Each player, in turn, spins the spinner and moves his/her playing piece the designated number of spaces. When a player enters an obstacle, he plays as follow:
- If a player holds the corresponding obstacle card he/she moves into the obstacle, plays the card, then moves the remainder of the spin. For example: If a player is two spaces from the Tractor obstacle and spins a four, he moves two spaces into the obstacle, removes the Tractor card or Amulet card from his hand and places it, faceup, in the discard pile, then moves the remaining two spaces. The player then draws another card, maintaining three cards in his hand. If a player lands on an obstacle by exact count, he must wait until his next turn to play the correct card and move out of the obstacle.
- If a player does not hold the correct card, he forfeits the remainder of his spin and remains in the obstacle. At his next turn the player draws a card rather than spinning. If the card is the appropriate obstacle card or Amulet card, he plays it, spins and moves his playing piece the desiganted number of spaces. If the player does not draw an appropriate card, he discards one card from his hand and his turn ends. Play proceeds as above until the player draws the appropriate obstale or Amulet card.
A player may occupy the same space as an opponent.
AMULET CARD
To win the game a player must be the first to reach FINISH and play an Amulet card. A player may land on FINISH without an Amulet card, but he does not win the game until he draws and plays that card. A player may continue to draw a card, at his turn, until he draws and plays an Amulet card. A player does not need the exact count to land on FINISH.
WINNER
The winner is the first player to reach FINISH and play an Amulet card.
